Tox smiled. "Alright! Everyone into the pool! Drinks are coming up. It's been forever since I got to play bartender so shout out your drink and I'll attempt to make it!"

"Drinks?" Grace asked. "Do you also serve juice?"

He smiled. "We have juice and non-alcoholic drinks that look like they are...There should really be a name for those."

Now, the conclusion...

ON:

"Synthohol. Mocktails." Grace smiled. "Although real alcohol is not found as often on starships. I'll have a juice. What do you recommend?"

"Well, I would recommend the mixed berry juice with a hint of lemon. How does that sound," Tox asked.

"That sounds lovely," Grace replied. "Thank you."

Tox set about making the drink with a flourish. He grinned at the Captain. "I do everything with a punch of drama." He gave her a wink as he slid the drink to her. "Ooh... here comes the counselor. Ready?"

Grace caught and nodded. "Ready." Then she took a sip. "This is good. Thank you."

He smiled and gave her a wink. "I won't be far and if need my help just signal me."

Amanda came out in a one piece black bathing suit that seemed specifically geared towards slimming her figure. On the sides of the suit were red markings that bent in towards her stomach, emphasizing her bust and waist, and deemphasizing her thighs and rear. "If we had alcohol, I might require a long island iced tea for this."

Tox worked quickly. "Long Island Iced Tea for the counselor." He handed her the glass and then headed towards the pool area keeping an eye on Grace and Amanda.

"Hello, counselor," Grace said with a smile.

"Captain," Amanda replied neutrally. "Or would you prefer Grace in this environment?" She sipped her synthohol long island iced tea. "So sad that this has no real alcohol in it."

"Tox mandated that there are no ranks here," Grace replied politely. "So, it's just Grace.""

"Well, Grace," Amanda replied, emphasizing the name. "I had no idea that Tox was in charge of the ship. Maybe I missed something in the same manner that I missed out on Percy's shenanigans."

Grace just raised an eyebrow. She was not going to comment on the snide remark. Amanda had become a lot snarkier since joining the Ontario and it didn't suit her.

Amanda shrugged her shoulders. Perhaps she hit a nerve. She would not be surprised as the Captain and her never seemed to be on the same page. While she allowed great latitude to those like Percy or even Tox, Amanda felt she got the short end of the stick. The Captain even tried to justify her involvement with her own love interest by claiming she was martyring herself on behalf of all the women on the ship. Ridiculous. The Captain's sense of morality was incomprehensible to Amanda. Consequently, she decided that the problem was the Captain's at this point. Whatever she did to put dirt in the Captain's cereal, she would never know.

Tox, sensing some tension, walked over and put an arm around each of the ladies. "My two most treasured friends." He grinned. "The two women keeping me sane. I'm really glad you both came." He grinned at each of them. "SO! Let's take our drinks by the water and then have some fun. There is no past, only the present and what we all are is friends who are going to have a relaxing day. Deal?"

Amanda laughed at Tox, "Keeping you sane?" She laughed more joyfully. "Well, Tox, I think you may have something there. As your counselor, I can tell you that you have always been riding that edge precariously."

Grace shook her head and smiled. "That all depends on what you consider relaxing."

"HA! Then I keep my madness well-hidden well." He grinned as he lead them to the pool. "As for that question Grace there are so many ways to answer that, but I shall keep most to myself and say swimming and aqua dancing. Fitness and fun. Who could ask for anything more."

One of the nurses yelled. "DON'T SING TOX FOR THE LOVE OF ALL THAT IS HOLY."

Tox snorted. "Everyone's a critic. "Now then how about a game. Mandyboo? Gracyloo?"

"Boo and loo what?" Amanda asked, not following.

"Amanda, you're Mandyboo. Grace is Gracyloo!"

"Ohhhhhhh no!" Amanda replied, waving her hand in protest, nearly spilling her drink. "I'm most definitely not a Mandyboo...."

"How come?" Tox asked. "Okay, okay.....then....Amandiloo?"

Amanda's eyes went wider and her face elongated. Her lips stretched vertically, as she firmly stated, "No!"

Grace just chuckled. She didn't think she could say anything to change Tox' mind.

"Pah! We'll find one. Come on ladies into the pool fun time will be had by all. Few rules first. No arguing, no fighting, and must laugh from the heart."

Amanda turned to Grace and teasingly commented, "He's certainly a pushy one, isn't he?"

"As are many in medical and counseling," Grace countered. She didn't add that he was correct.

Tox grinned. "Pushy? Me? Never but absolutely bossy!"

Amanda caught the reference to counseling and bit her tongue. What was the Captain's issue with her? "As if there is a difference, Tox?"

There were nuances that differentiated the two words, but Grace wasn't going to get into the semantics of word definitions. This was a day to relax, and she intended to do just that.

"Ohhh there's a difference. Pushy means unreasonable and I am very reasonable...I just like to be in charge...well at work anyway." He winked at the girls. "And maybe a tad with my friends cause I want the best for them."

Grace couldn't help laughing at the truthfulness of his statement. "As long as you keep it in perspective."

"Always Graceyloo. Now then ladies. Fun time's a starting!"

"Careful with those winks, Tox. I might start thinking you are flirting with me." She giggled again. "Now, what are we doing first, Captain Tox?"

"As for me, I'm heading for a massage," Grace said, standing. "I could use one."

"A most excellent idea." Tox excused himself and hurried to the pool diving with abandon and a happy yell.

Amanda considered her options. Doing something alone likely would defeat whatever point Tox was making. However, Amanda did not like the idea of swimming. It was not that she could not do it, but she felt that doing so would not flatter herself at all. She hardly wanted to look like a manatee.

Going to get a massage meant being near the Captain and for whatever reason they could not manage to have a decent conversation since their initial conversation when Grace came on. Amanda bit her lower lip and then decided. Well, if I'm going to be tense in any way, I may as well have a masseuse to work it out. Thus, she walked behind Grace to go and get a massage.

Grace was already on the table. With the style of the swimsuit, she only had to take it off her shoulders. She heard Amanda enter but said nothing to the counselor as the massage therapist began to work on her back.

"What kind of massage are you getting, Grace?" Amanda asked. She then looked at the masseuse and asked, "And what kind of massage can you give me or what do you think I need?"

"A basic deep tissue massage," Grace replied. "And then a soak in the hot tub."

Amanda sighed. Short and to the point, but with a little extra information. "Make sure you hydrate before you get in the tub. Deep tissue massages take a lot out."

Grace's response was a "mmm hmm."

Amanda looked over at the masseuse and asked, "Can you do a Swedish massage with some aromatherapy?"

"But of course. Do you have a preference for your aromatherapy?"

"Perhaps lavender," Amanda suggested. She obediently laid down and let the masseuse do his work while taking in the scents for calm.
